What an OnlyFans "agency" is, and why I'll never use one

Every so often a subscriber tells me some version of the same thing. "You feel real." "You're different." "I've subscribed to a lot of girls and after a while they all start to feel the same."

I love hearing that. And I think a big part of the reason is something most people never see.

Running an OnlyFans is a lot more than taking pictures. Somebody has to plan the posts, schedule them, write the captions, price the videos, promote the page on a handful of other sites, keep up with every platform's ever-changing rules, track what's working, and answer hundreds of messages. That's a full-time job before anyone turns a camera on.

So a lot of creators hire an agency to handle it. An agency is a company that runs the business side of a creator's page. Many of them also take over the messages, with a team of chatters writing to subscribers in the creator's name.

That's where so much of the sameness comes from. When one company manages dozens of pages, it runs the same playbook on all of them. Same posting schedule, same trending content, same scripts in the DMs, same little games to get you to unlock something.

I don't use an agency, and I never will.

I get to skip all of that because I married the right man. Andrew, my husband (and my Dom), handles almost everything behind the scenes. He plans, he films, he edits, he keeps track of the numbers and figures out the platforms so I don't have to.

Which leaves me the fun part. I get to play on camera and talk to you.

So when you message me, it's me. Sometimes I answer right away, and sometimes it takes a little while because we're parked somewhere out west with one bar of signal or it’s just the time of the month where I have less energy. Either way, it's always me on the other end. And the fact that I’m not constantly there, on call, and always responding instantly is a part of how you know it’s actually a real person over here.

And nothing against the girls who use agencies. This work is a lot, and plenty of creators are doing it all alone. I'm lucky. I have a partner who loves building this as much as I love being in front of the camera.
